Appearance: Medium gold
Nose: Pronounced nose, with a bouquet composed of lychee, banana, pineapple, lemon, white pepper, and toasty notes.
Taste: A dry, medium-to-full bodied white blend, with medium-to-high acidity and a satisfying mouth-feel. The predominant lime, lemon, orange zest, pineapple, and apricot flavours combined with a pleasant degree of toastiness and minerality.
Finish: A long, pleasant finish comprised of lemon rind and mineral notes.
Overall Impression: We thoroughly enjoyed this white blend, especially in terms of its outstanding balance and mouth-feel. It paired beautifully with chicken Cordon Bleu bathed in a rich, cream sauce. Interestingly, pronounced tropical fruit notes, especially banana, emerged when we tasted it with a green salad topped with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We cannot wait to pair it with one of our favourite recipes, a creamy tomato and green onion risotto. This wine would also pair superbly with chicken, pork, and cream-based dishes, and it seems best suited to the fall and winter months.
