Grape Varietal(s): Albariño

Recommended By: Picked it off the shelf at the LCBO.

Bottle Presentation: Distinctive, modern, textured label, which stands out from the crowd.
Appearance: Deep lemon-green
Nose: Pronounced nose, with lemon, peach, honey, and a hint of fresh-cut green grass.
Taste: Dry, medium-to-full bodied, with medium acidity. Tart lemon and white grapefruit rind flavours are complemented with graphite and mineral undertones.
Finish: Medium finish of graphite and white grapefruit rind.
Overall Impression: A good Albariño, with classic notes for the varietal, although we found the taste and finish a little sharp, if not aggressive. Saying that, if you enjoy tart wines and, perhaps, Sauvignon Blanc, this could be right up your alley, so give it a try. It paired very well with a grilled chicken and nectarine quinoa dish. It would also pair well with seafood, vegetarian, and lemon-based dishes (e.g., lemongrass chicken).
